Dark in colour with aromas black cherry complemented by some hypnotic floral notes and hints of chocolate. Very intense black fruit palate with a spicy complexity and interesting dried herb nuances. There’s a depth and concentration on the finish that really highlights the purity of the fruit and making it unmistakably McLaren Vale in origin.

After a forgettable 2020 winemakers in McLaren Vale were buoyed by what can only be described as a dream vintage. The great season was due to a wet winter, allowing the vines to grow a good canopy followed by a cool,dry summer which ensured even ripening. The results saw not just great quality fruit but yields were up too. A great vintage for the Vale

Sourced from a single site vineyard in McLaren Vale that is both organic and biodynamic. Picked in the cool of the morning to retain freshness, the fruit is de-stemming and fermented in stainless steel tank. The wine then spent time in used large format French and American oak barrels to build structure whilst softening the palate and develop flavour complexity without overt extraction of oak characters.

Little Giant gets a natural and organic makeover thanks to some authentic lo-fi winemaking. The wines are the result of a collaboration between McLaren Vale winemaker Mike Brown and Corey Ryan of Little Giant – the wines are exclusively sourced from a single estate vineyard in McLaren Vale. These are fresh, immediately drinkable, deliciously food friendly wines that are the essence of one of South Australia’s favourite wine regions.
