Established in 1978, Black Label represents the pinnacle of the Morton Estate range. Morton Estate has a presence in the Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Marlborough – each playing host to some of the best winemaking in New Zealand.
A stunning Méthode Traditionelle wine, Morton Black Label Brut is made with traditional French techniques, seeing it riddled and disgorged after sitting on lees for 3 years. This is an elegantly structured Brut Méthode with a fine bead and creamy mousse. The palate is fresh and lively with brioche, strawberry and honeyed cream all fusing into a background of seductive freshly baked bread. Secondary ferment yeast characters present a creamy mouth feel, complimented with a lingering, expressive finish.
