Sourced exclusively from the free-draining alluvial terraces of Block 13 within their estate vineyard, this premium wine delivers an unashamedly rich, deeply concentrated, and textural palate that stands as a stunning testament to southern organic viticulture.
Pure Craftsmanship & Organic Terroir
The Queensberry sub-region, situated between Cromwell and Wanaka along the Clutha River, provides an ideal cool climate for growing precise, highly aromatic Chardonnay grapes. Following hand-harvesting and whole-bunch pressing, the juice undergoes a natural fermentation in large 500L French oak puncheons. It is matured for 10 months with occasional lees stirring (bâtonnage) and completes full malolactic fermentation. This traditional process creates a beautifully rounded, creamy weight while allowing the wine's striking natural acidity and stony mineral core to shine through perfectly.
