Adelaide Hills Chardonnay. Grapes were handpicked and whole bunch pressed, with the individual parcels kept separate before blending. It’s a remarkably textural wine, and that comes from the influence of the solids and the lees stirring, which gives some real substance to the palate. It was matured in a mix of largely stainless steel with about 40% French oak and just 5% new. So it retains its steely fresh vibrancy, that crisp minerality, chalky acidity, and slightly citrusy melon fruits. Sustained long finish. An excellent wine and great value.
